Featuring cropped details of timeless calligraphic compositions by Soraya Syed, Art of the Pen, each postcard in the set of five showed a different calligraphy style – square Kufic, Thuluth, Maghribi and Diwani script. Accentuated by vivid contrasting colours, the postcards were distinctly different from one another and were sold in a chic die-cut black and silver foil-blocked slipcase. The cards were shuffle-packed to reveal a different design through the die-cut slipcase, which made them an enticing product for sale in the Museum‘s shop, often framed by customers as little pieces of art.
